November 16, 2005 - Erik Updates

Posted: Wed Nov 16, 2005 10:08 am Post subject: 11/16 - Hello All! Hello Everyone! Just when we were about to send an email letting you know all was going fine, we hit a bump. All is okay though. Erik has had some vomiting over the past week or so and the surgery site had a little puffiness around it. We were watching this when last night he had a seizure. These things combined caused us to bring him in for a check. All of the tests look great and he seems to be doing fine. It just scared us a little! Please pray that the seizures will subside and that he will continue to move in the right direction. We hope to go home today and stay there for a while!!!!!! I'm so sorry that I haven't known and been praying. I certainly will now, though! I will continue to read your updates so I can pray specifically for you all. Hi Wendy, I wanted to let you know that every since I found out about Erik's condition that you all have constantly been on my mind & in my prayers. I hope that you all have a great Thanksgiving!!!!!! Afterall, we all have many things to be thankful for. I have to tell you that you guys have inspired me to grow more in my service to the lord. I too love; beieve in the power of prayer and know that god will take care of us all. I know that God will always take care of Erik no matter what. You two have a special bond with God for your strength in dealing with these obstacles that try to break you down and amazingly, giving up is never an option for you. Every year we have a Christmas party and invite friends and family. My husband and I "adopt" a family in need and ask our guest to bring a present for the children of that family. Last year, we adopted a family that I work with that welcomed premature twins 3 months early (three weeks before Chrsitmas). This year, we were wondering how we would find a family that may need a little help with their shopping and Sara Belskie Self dropped me an email saying that she had the perfect family. YOU! We sent our evites out with this website attached to them and the Faith and Love that your family portrays has moved each and every one of us.
